Jon Rose & Erik Griswold – Unnamed Road

Unnamed Road is the first musical project of two Australian innovators – England-born, Alice Springs-based violinist-composer-improviser-luthier Jon Rose and United states-born, Brisbane-based contemporary composer-pianist-electronics player Erik Griswold. Both Rose and Griswold are genre-defying, multi-media artists who have spent decades exploring, interfering with, and seriously altering the possibilities of their strings-based sonic worlds.

Unnamed Road offers eight improvisations that take the form of a road trip between Alice Springs and Brisbane, adopting the distinct colors of those locales, the semi-tropics, a temperate forest, and the outback desert while referring to Rose and Griswold’s many years of accumulated experiences and local and global collaborations.
