Norwegian Jan Bang and Erik Honoré are pioneering figures in live remixing, producers and the founders of the Punkt festival, a three-day festival of the Live Remix taking place in Kristiansand, Norway, since 2005, and suggesting the immediate transformation of live performances into re-imagined, live remixed versions that further explores the live source material. The festival hosted many experimental musicians, including Brian Eno, David Sylvian, Daniel Lanois, Laurie Anderson, Thurston Moore, and John Paul Jones. Fellow Norwegian experimental vocal artist Sidsel Endresen is a recurring artist in the Punkt festival, and has a rich history of collaborations that span multiple genres and formats, pushing the boundaries of vocal improvisation.
