Bloomers is the Copenhagen-based trio of Danish alto sax player-clarinetist Maria Dybbroe, trumpeter Anne Efternøler, and Irish clarinetist-bass clarinetist Carolyn Goodwin (who plays with Dybbroe in the Copenhagen Clarinet Choir). Cyclism is the debut album of this chamber, free improvising trio, and it was recorded live at 5e in Copenhagen in July 2022 and at Hobby Horse Studio in January 2023. Each of the 15 short pieces is dedicated to an important historical event in the struggle for women’s freedom.
