Three Tsuru Origami is the trio of Italian, Brescia-based trumpeter-electronics player-composer Gabriele Mitelli, known for his work with American trumpeter-sound artist Rob Mazurek (as the Star Splitter duo) and British turntablist Mariam Rezaei, with the British elite rhythm section of double bass player John Edwards and drummer Mark Sanders. The trio recorded its self-titled album in 2022 (We Insist!, 2022), and dedicated it to the world of birds, the creatures of the world, and their migrations. The sophomore album adds a special guest, young Argentinian, Berlin-based tenor sax player (and visual artist) Camila Nebbia.
