American trumpeter-composer Peter Evans teams with two close associates – the Berlin-based Swedish double bass player Petter Eldh (who played with Evans in the Amok Amor quartet) and American drummer Jim Black (who played in Evans Quintet’s albums, Ghosts and Genesis, More is More, 2011 and 2016). The new working trio’s debut album Extra was released by the Finnish label We Jazz and was recorded at the iconic Namouche Studio in Lisbon in August 2023.
