American, Texan trumpeter-composer-visual artist-poet-eductor Dennis González (1954-2022) created a free jazz scene in Dallas, founded the local Association for Avant-Garde and Neo Impressionistic Music and his Daagnim records. González led many bands with like-minded comrades from all over the United States, England, Norway and Poland, as well as the trio Yells at Eels with his two sons – double bass player Aaron and drummer-percussionist Stefan who released ten albums since the early 2000s until Dennis González’ untimely death.
