Invincible Time brings together three wilful free improvisers into the beautiful resonance of the Oude Klooster chapel in Brecht, Belgium. Partners in life and music – Belgian pianist Martina Verhoeven, who plays on the vintage-sounding Crumar electric piano, and guitarist Dirk Serries with Portuguese guitarist Luis Lopes, in his first-ever recorded document with prolific Serries or Verhoeven. The album was recorded live in May 2023 and was released by the Raw Tonk label of Serries’ frequent collaborator, British sax player Colin Webster, who did the cover artwork.
