Le Chemin Du Jour (The Way of the Day) is a live, first-ever recording of French drummer Thierry Waziniak and soprano and sopranino sax player Michael Doneda. These improvisers are experienced in the art of the moment. Thierry Waziniak played with fellow French pianist-cellist Gaël Mevel, trumpeter Jean-Luc Cappozzo, double bass player Jean-Jacques Avenel, and vocal artist-clarinetist Isabelle Duthoit and (Austrian) trumpeter Franz Hautzinger, while the prolific Doneda has collaborated with sax player Daunik Lazro, double bass players Barre Phillips and Tetsu Saitoh, percussionist Tatsuya Nakatani, the contemporary ensemble Studio Dan, and Sonic Youth.
